Getting Started With Community Solar
What Is Community Solar?
To meet America’s renewable energy goals, states receive federal funding to incentivize more solar development—allowing solar project owners to pass on energy bill discounts to residents and businesses as a reward for helping reduce carbon emissions.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy : "Community solar is rapidly growing across the country. It allows everyone to benefit from solar energy, even if they can't put panels on a rooftop."

Record High Energy Costs
Energy Costs Are On The Rise!
The average residence uses 900 kWh per month, and Commercial spaces use almost 2,500 kWh/month. From 2014 to 2019 energy costs remained at $0.13/kWh but since then, costs have reached record highs with some states being over $0.40/kWh. The total US average has peaked at $0.17/kWh and is expected to keep climbing.

Understanding Savings Data
Breakdown Of Savings
There is no cost to join, just the price per kilowatt-hour that you pay for your portion of the electricity generated from the solar farm. Your subscription price fluctuates, but always stays at your fixed discount to the credit that you receive on your engry power bill.
For example, this means a price of $0.1560/kWh with a credit of $0.1733/kWh (which equates to a 10% discount). Both of these rates are adjusted every six months based approved electricity rates in your area, but we keep the discount percentage intact meaning that there is no chance that you pay more for solar.
The table shows the estimated solar rates and the corresponding credit that you will receive on your bill for each kilowatt-hour of usage.
